We join Fritz and his humans, Jeff and Chris Dennis for a few of their recent adventures around the Copper Country. Lily Pond outside of Hancock is where we begin, taking a look at the fishing boats and other vessels tied up to the Irons there. Then on to the Pilgrim River, paddling under a bridge like tunnel, with some cool reflections. Next we get to chase after the Ranger III going under the bridge. Sorry, I don’t know if they caught her or not, Fritz wasn’t divulging that information.

Check out the great shot of an eagle taking off... I bet both Jeff and Fritz were a bit nervous that it might fly by and try to snatch Fritz UP. Thank goodness it didn’t. I’m sure they were a bit more comfortable snapping the photo of the paint turtle, sunning itself in the reeds nearby. And the bottom photo, before you get all in a tizzy that Jeff might not be handling Fritz with care, he was carrying him up a steep, rocky river bank with the handle on his life jacket, which is actually the safest way to get him up there without any mishaps to either Fritz or Jeff!

We close out this day with MI Playground at Chapel Rock along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. A few weeks back we had a short clip from Andy Behling about the iconic tree on Chapel Rock. Today, his brother Nick goes into a little more detail about the lone white pine tree still growing there, even after erosion has disconnected it from the mainland, except for the roots of the tree that reach across the open air. Pretty amazing!

Great pictures and another wonderful
adventure for Fritz!

Hi
Fritz looks happy in the first picture. Mary, I'm
glad you explained the all-four-paws-dangling shot,
otherwise I probably would have been critical. Dogs
put up with a lot from us, bless them.

Again...Fritz has a way better life than I do!

GREAT pictures today, and Eagles are HUGE birds.
Amazing birds.

That is one handy lil life jacket Fritz has on! Way
awesome! he's probably so thrilled he doesn't have
to hop up those rocks!

That IS a very good way to pick up Fritz . . . but I wonder if he feels as if he's being carried like a 6-pack?
