If you guessed that today’s photos were snapped by Donna MacIntosh, you’re right! Her friend, Cindy (HI LOU!) “sprung” her from the confines of her apartment recently and they took a ride to check out local scenery, beautiful gardens, flowers, some fall color beginning, a peaceful farm scene and some interesting figures in a farm field on the Rice Lake Road outside of Lake Linden, a family of Bigfoots.
In case you’re wondering about the fall color, I heard a rumor that it is supposed to peak around the first or second week in October, but colors are starting for sure, depending on where in the U.P. you are. Here in Lake Linden by our farm, it is slow starting with just a smattering of yellow on some of the Quacking Aspen trees.
We get a look at the most recent Crossing Place video from Visit Keweenaw, featuring Photograper and mountain biker, Chris Guibert. The lead-in to the video says: “In the Keweenaw, ridgelines rise from Lake Superior, auroras dance across star-filled skies, and autumn blazes in maple red. For photographer and mountain biker Chris Guibert, it’s a backdrop for his artistry, a mountain biking playground, and a lifestyle. Come see why this remote peninsula captures hearts and lenses alike.”

That was so much fun...the bigfoots are thanks to our dear Mary Drew....they are so cute! The gazebo and flowers are down at the Houghton Waterfront...We always grab our Culver burgers and head to the Waterfront to eat.
Thank you Cindy Lou...you are the best!
Hi Eric! (aren't you home now??)

I get tons of weird emails...one today talks about eliminating Wasps....get some BOUNCE dryer sheets. That's not on the email list, but I have used them many times, and they have always worked. But it HAS to be Bounce!

Very nice pictures, Donna. As always, I'm happy you got released. Selfishly, you always have some nice pictures. Thanks for sharing your outing!

Thank you Deb! You should see the ones that get deleted tho...lol....there's WAY more of them!
And it is such a thrill to get out of here. Looking at the same 4 walls daily gets super tiring.
Came on to share a quote:
"One lives not just for oneself but for one’s community."
My first thought, when i saw the “Bigfoot Family”, was The Three Bears. ☺

Very nice shots, Donna! Just imagine, back during film camera days, how expensive it could get in order to to take a really good shot?
"some interesting figures in a farm field" Totally agree. VERY interesting!
Chris Guibert in the video is quite a guy.

Thank you D.A. And I know what you mean. I used to stand over the garbage can when my pictures came in. Picture taking has definitely changed.
Remember Dizzy Dupuis's camera shop in Lake Linden...we have come a long way!
