The ladies of WIND (Women in New Directions) always meet each week to do something fun or creative or both. Beth Jukuri said one of their favorite spots to go is McLain State Park for a beach walk and talk. There’s always something new to see with Lake Superior changing the shoreline just about daily. This day the ladies enjoyed sunshine and watched the fog rolling in, too. I can see why they love meeting there, as the changes make it seem like you’re at a different location each time!

Our video today comes from Eagle Eye Media, featuring the Dockside Resort near Gay, MI. They have over 1200 feet of Lake Superior shoreline, with a dock that was designed in the 1920’s by their grandfather for his commercial fishing processing center. With the two arms of the dock creating a cove-like shelter for small boats, canoes, kayaks and happy swimmers, it’s a great place to enjoy Lake Superior and do some fishing. Their campground includes both electric hook-ups and rustic sites, plus the year round vacation homes make it a great place to get-away from it all with beautiful views.

The WIND ladies have to have just magical times.

I've been a beachwalker since I was a kid. Calming
yet stimulating, I miss it when I'm downstate.

There are four houses in Dockside to rent. What a
glorious site that has to be!

And did anyone see northern lites last nite? They
were just wild around the world...Thank God for You
Tube....Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Maine...it
was just insane....and oh so beautiful!

That's where Uncle Chuck stayed when
he was here. But he had his own
camper.

Very nice piece on the Dockside Resort!! Yes we
stay in the "Full Hook Up" campground with our 5th
Wheel camper. We have also stayed in the cabins as
well and they are very nice and just like having
your own home!! Not many people know about the
Dockside Resort and selfishly, I'm alright with
that, lol. If you're looking for a great place to
stay, cabins, any time of year, or for camping...
you can't beat this place, and you have Lake
Superior to wake up to every morning and you're
close to the ATV/SNOWMOBILE TRAILS!! Lastly, Bob
and his sister, Sherry are fantastic, friendly
people and the prices regardless of, if you're
camping or staying in the cabins, are very
reasonable. I should also mention, if you're not
needing full hook up for your trailer, or if you
want to tent camp, they have sites for this as
well and a nice bathhouse as well. Give em a try,
tell Bob or Sherry, Uncle Chuck said to "Hook you
U.P." !!
