Over in Chassell, the bees are buzzing and Beth Jukuri’s sunflowers are blooming! Beth exclaimed that their sunflowers are so beautiful right now- and many bees on them! You can plainly see by her photos how pretty they are and in the third shot, there’s a bee, busy gathering pollen, too. One of Beth’s friends commented that she missed her own sunflowers, due to those rascally rabbits. They aren’t a problem for the Jukuri’s garden though, as the sunflowers are inside the fence where the bunnies can’t get them.

The bottom photo is my bouquet of sunflowers that I purchased at a local roadside vegetable stand. They were so bright and cheery, I just had to take them home to decorate my table. It brings a smile to my face every time I walk through the kitchen!

We have an Early Morning Fly-by Over Michigan Tech, recorded the end of August by In The Keweenaw. It starts out with a look at the new student housing – East Hall, located near the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts as you enter campus coming into Houghton.

Beautiful sunny flower
set!!!
And in the third pic do I
see two bees or not
two bees, that is the
question.
I love those drone
flyover. This one
reminds me of the
dozens of times that
I cruised down 41 on
the Wing.
And it appears
that the East Hall isn’t
open for business just
yet.

These are so beautiful! I love sunflowers. The
flower of Ukraine. Ever notice their little faces
follow the sun?? That is so cool.

My friend's NIECE was the head engineer on that
East Hall....I LOVE that....so does every woman I
tell that to!

Beautiful pictures, Beth. I used to
love in North Dakota. Everywhere you
went there were sunflowers. I got so
sick of them. Now I'm back to loving
them. You have a beautiful garden,
Beth.

Love that fly by. Hard to believe its been over 36
years since I left campus as a graduate. Time sure
flies, starting to plan retirement even as I look to
send kids to college. So many new buildings and
changes but most seem to be for the better with
plans to accommodate more students.

Beautiful pics, Summer is almost over for us. Vic and I have really
enjoyed being up here. I don’t have my laptop and trying to post is
difficult from my phone, it won’t let me send it, even if I have a
decent signal, but most times I don’t. I’ll be catching up soon and
bothering yall again. I’m betting this too will not go thru.

The Wingnut concert was great and so was the “End of Summer “
celebration in Hancock. That band in Hancock could really jam!!
