My hubby and I joined Deb & Ron Simons recently, at the Mohawk Park for one of their Music in the Park series that starts in July and ends the beginning of September. There’s actually one more happening tomorrow night, so if you’re in town, grab a chair and head to Mohawk for an evening of music.

The evening we went, The Wingnuts were playing and it was quite enjoyable. Deb adds that there is a concession stand where you can buy hot dogs, sloppy joes, chips and pop, they sell 50/50 tickets with all the profits going to add something new to the park every year. Some of the additions have been new playground equipment, tennis courts, basketball hoops, and picnic tables, just to mention a few. One more night of music tomorrow... be there, or be square! If you can’t make it tomorrow, then plan on joining the toe tapping fun next summer! (The event is canceled in case of inclement weather).

By the way, it’s football season! For fans here in the U.P. loyalties are often split between the Lion’s and the Packers. Good Morning America takes a look at the NFL’s new measurement system that went into effect this past weekend for the start of the season. The lead-in to the video says: “GMA” has an all-access look at Sony's Hawk-Eye Virtual Measurement Technology, the new virtual measurement system that will replace sideline officials and their 10-yard chain used to determine a first down.

Great pics...you all had such a blast. Good for
you!

Interesting on the football measuring device.
There's sure alot of drones, etc on those fields
now...

It was a fun night. The band was very
good and we were in good company.
Hoping the weather cooperates tomorrow
so we can make the last one. The band
playing is Yesterday's Wine. Grab a
chair. It's a great cause because any
of their proceeds go to improving the
park a little at a time. And it's a
fun way to spend summertime Tuesdays.

I had a feeling that
was Deb and Ron,
Nice pics!
And I hope that the
MBL starts using that
technology for their
balls and strikes
zone.
Way too many bad
calls are made by the
umpire and some of
them affect the
outcome of the game.
A computer enhanced
strike zone square would
eliminate those errors.

What's next? A robotic Home Plate Umpire?
Oh wait, never mind. It's coming.

How about an automated hockey goal judge then?
