Just when you think he can’t top his last set of photographs, Isaac Diener comes around with another set of outstanding shots. Recently he caught a lightning bolt streaking above the Portage Lake Lift Bridge in the Houghton/Hancock area. Check out the storm clouds hanging out over the trees both on the right and the left in the photo... pretty amazing capture.

The next two photos were taken at Lake Medora, near Copper Harbor. Isaac said this sunset was absolutely incredible and was the best sunset of this summer. He captured the glow in the sky and the duplicate in the reflection in the water perfectly. Outstanding and yes, possibly one of the best this year.
