Summer flowers are still in bloom, even though we’re getting closer to fall each day. Judy Byykkonen is enjoying all the summer beauty in her yard and on her deck. She puts in plenty of time, planting, weeding and making it beautiful, so it’s her reward to be able to sit back and enjoy all the deep, beautiful hues that she created with her plantings. It’s a pleasure for more than just Judy, though, as I’m sure folks that walk by enjoy all the colors, it’s like candy for your eyes. I know when we drive by her home, I always have to look to see what’s blooming around her house, as she’s always adding some kind of unique decoration, too. I love it when folks like Judy decorate with nature’s beauty.
So, if you’re a regular visitor, I’m sure you recall the daily reminder link to vote for Newsweek’s Best Historical B&B earlier this month and if you cast any votes for the Laurium Manor Inn, a BIG thank you, as they were voted the #1 in America! Laurium Manor Inn takes top spot as Newsweek's Best Historical B&B!
Visit Keweenaw shares a video, saying, “Sweet victory! The Laurium Manor Inn is crowned Newsweek's #1 Historical B&B in America! Innkeepers Dave and Julie Sprenger have built more than an immersive step back in time - they’ve built a place where guests and staff feel like family. That warmth is worth celebrating!” Congratulations Laurium Manor Inn! We’re proud to have been a small part in helping to make this happen for you!

Beautiful, Judy. Every time I drive
past your house I have to look at your
gardens. I pointed it out to my
cousins one day and they loved your
yard.
