When it comes to adventure and friends, Beth Jukuri has plenty of both. They recently spent a weekend camping in Ontonagon at a friends place on Lake Superior, actually their 5th annual camping event together. The ladies enjoyed kayaking, beach time, including walks and creating a driftwood creature. There was plenty of craft time and of course delicious food. Beth remarked how lucky she is to have cool friends who will do these things with her. The weather was perfect, the crafting was fun and there was plenty of time for chats and laughter. Looks and sounds like great fun was had on the shores of the Big Lake.

If you need some ideas of places to visit in the U.P., check out today’s video short from Everywhere With Eva. She quickly covers seven must see places in the Upper Peninsula, don’t mind her mispronunciation of Mackinac, she said she knows it is pronounced MackiNAW, not MackiNACK, to which she added, “What the heck, Eva?”

Laurium Manor Inn is in the running (again!) for Newsweek’s Best Historical B&B, and this time, they’re aiming for the top spot. If you’d like to help achieve that honor, you can cast your vote by clicking here: Newsweek’s Best Historical B&B, then click the black button that says: “Vote for the best historical B&B!”. That will take you to a pop-up window with the list... scroll down to “G. Laurium Manor Inn – Laurium, MI”, click on it, then scroll down and click the “Submit” button. The contest runs until August 14th at Noon ET, so we’ll have a reminder here each day if you’d like to vote. Thanks in advance.

And that painting is exquisite.

These ladies have so much fun. And
these pictures are so cool. I just
love them. I don't know where they get
their ideas from, but they sure do
have fun.
