When Judy Byykkonen takes her four-legged “girls” to the Calumet Waterworks park, it isn’t just about them getting out and running, it’s often about her love of waves crashing on the shoreline rocks, too. She said she’s lucky that her dogs wait patiently as she sits, mesmerized by droplets that get highlighted by the sun rays and the sound of the waves, too. Judy shares a few of those mesmerizing moments here today. Her photos make you feel like you’re right there beside her, enjoying the show. I bet if you’re really quiet, you’ll be able to hear the waves crashing against those rocks, too.

There are beautiful subtle colors in all of them; I
like the first one and the last one best. Judy
obviously has a great eye for striking scenes.

Sadly in 4 of the 5 photos the Canadian forest fire smoke seems to be ominously present in the background. Smoke is never good for anyone living on planet Earth.

Holy wha...gotta tell you..there's a new stoplight
for the Canal Road in Houghton. Cindy and I got
out for a spin today, and got our Culver's and
headed down to the waterfront to eat. We were
coming down and the light was red. What a line of
cars. I mean, WHAT A LINE OF CARS! We watched the
light change twice before we got through...and
drove in the middle lane to get down to the road
that drives to the waterfront. We ate, and went
the other way to get out of Houghton..we could see
such a long, huge line....and when that Bridge
goes up...Hang on tight...I hope no one was in a
hurry...cause that ain't happening there anymore.
That's seriously going to be a concern big time!~
