Kevin Dunham said he just can’t get enough of the beautiful sunsets down at the Grand Island Landing, overlooking Lake Superior. He captured these recently and also mentioned that the sunsets have been impacted from the Canadian wildfires, but the result has been simply amazing. I’d have to agree with him, as these photos he snapped are so unique and unusual, making the sunset quite spectacular. With the stripes across the sun, it reminds me of photos of the planet Jupiter that you often see with stripes of different colors depending on the atmosphere. Quite interesting how all this happens!

A striped sun is a first for me. I've heard Earth
seen from space called the big blue marble; that
stripy sun also calls a marble to mind.

Wow! These are spectacular! I never
get tired of Kevin's pictures. He
definitely has a wonderful place to
live.

Kevin sure does live in one breathtaking spot..no
question, and I sure hope he makes a living with
his photography...he sure should be! As soon as
you see the phenomenal pics, you know who did it!

I am so addicted to Discovering. The lil
inflatable boats are so cool...I LOVE seeing the
little kids at contests, etc...such huge little
smiles, and I love when Kristin talks to them. And
the gent with all the different species of lilacs.
WOW...I had no idea there were so many. THAT was
really interesting!
