Deb Simons and her hubby Ron, have been busy prettying UP their Lake Linden yard. Today Deb shares some of their beautiful Columbines and pretty Irises. I love this time of year when the flowers are blooming and adding color to our surroundings. Making your yard so inviting like this with flowers you plant isn’t all fun and games when you’re recovering from knee surgery, either. But Deb is doing what she can without being able to kneel for planting and weeding. Then when she takes a break, she can enjoy the fruits of her labors from her deck or windows...beautiful rewards!

It's so great watching these flowers
start to bloom in the spring. They
have multiplied so much since these
pictures were taken, and now there are
a lot of poppies, lilies and hosta in
the back, as well as the pots I
planted. It looks so inviting when I
go out on my deck. How I love summer.

Oh, and i don't know that I've ever
heard that Michigan song before. Loved
the video.

Oh Deb...how beautiful...did you know if you
"Deadhead" the columbines, you'll get a second
bloom? It works!!

This it’s also the 50th
Anniversary for the movie
Jaws. Did you see it when
it came out? I did and
it had a huge impact.
I can remember feeling
like a shark was going
to smash through the
floor after I saw it.
