The WIND (Women In New Directions) ladies, normally get together every Wednesday for either an adventure outdoors or if the weather isn't conducive, indoors to make some type of craft project. They recently met at McLain State Park on a breezy evening to explore the breakwall and take a walk along the beach. The ladies found a plethora of Omars, also known as Omarolluks, which are glacial erratics with voids or pits in their surface and are found along the shores of Lake Superior especially here in the Yoop. Beth Jukuri snapped today’s photos from the adventure and I thought the bottom photo of the ladies was quite fitting, since you can see they were wind blown. Get it? The WIND ladies were wind blown!

We leave McLain State Park and the WIND ladies and head to Escanaba’s Ludingtion Park with MI Playground’s Nick and Marklyn for more adventures. They are going to take us by land and by water exploring the Sand Point Lighthouse, the Escanaba Harbor Crib Light, Ludington Park and the Gladstone Lighthouse.

These ladies are so adventurous and
really know how to have fun. Nice
pictures, ladies.

The lady in the second
pic is carrying a pretty
big walking stick.
And if the WIND
Ladies had to pass
wind then the WIND
Ladies were wind blown
too. Get it?
Pleasant video today too.

Hi
Nice shots & nice video. I was temporarily confused
by the reference to Ludington---gee, that's a lot of
traveling to get to the town of Ludington in the
northern lower. I suppose anyone familiar with
Escanaba would know right away.

Alex, if your joke is what I think it is, there's no
evidence. I saw no beans.

Way cool...all the way around!

Kathyrn…wait for Jack,
he’s up the stalk.
