Shannon, over at 906 Images was out late one night recently and captured these colorful Northern Light photos. He said, “Just like that the numbers were fading for the Northern lights that night....but you should always trust your eyes, as they still might make an appearance! This Aurora was out late that night. Thankfully Shannon trusted his eyes and stuck around to snap these beautiful shots. Lesson here is that the numbers aren’t always right, so you have to trust your senses, too, otherwise you could miss some beauties.

Today is Flag Day. Though it’s not a federal holiday, Flag Day is an annual observance for all Americans. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United State on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. Fly your Stars and Stripes proudly!
