Our long standing tradition here on the Pasty Cam, is to pause at the end of each month and remember those who have left us too soon. Today we honor the memory of:

In Memory
David “Dave” Barkell
Darlene Beiring
Kevin Cinelli
Richard Ray de Yampert
Pope Francis
Suzanne Knott
Raymond “Ray” Koskela
Gregg Lepisto
Peter Osmak
Rosemary Short
Theodore “Ted” Sullivan, Jr.
Pastor Kenneth Toth
Innocent victims of war in the current conflict,
Servicemen & women and
Frontline workers who have given their all

All of us here at Pasty Central extend our deepest sympathy to those who have lost someone near and dear to them. I need to mention a few from the list above, starting of course with Pope Francis, a humble and kind man who cared about and for many in our world. Next, Kevin Cinelli... he was a co-worker of mine at my other part time job, for 14 or so years. We shared many laughs and conversations. He treated all our clients with respect and dignity, showing great patience with them all, even the difficult ones. Kevin was a good man. Rosemary Short, my high school English teacher and just one of the most elegant ladies you’ll ever meet. Always smiling and a kind word for everyone. And finally, Richard de Yampert, the brother of Donn de Yampert who so often shares his beautiful photographs with us. May they and all those who have passed on, Rest in Perfect Peace. Please feel free to post the names of folks you would like to remember on this page.

Special thanks to Kristi Koskela for sharing her beautiful sunrise photo in memory of her Dad, Raymond “Ray” Koskela

A special note also in memory of my summer neighbor from Eagle River, Ted Sullivan. Ted appeared with his dear wife Joan here on the Pasty Cam on several occasions. Notably we celebrated the Sullivan’s 40th and 50th anniversaries on these pages. The news of Joan’s passing came in 2023, and now Ted has made that final journey as well. A memorable Copper Country couple reunited. Rest in Peace Joan and Ted.

It's so awful to see the Pope's name
here on this page. I think he was the
best pope from all my years of life.
Such a Humanitarian with a truly
beautiful soul. He was a simple man.

And Rosemary Short brought back high
school memories. Such a good person. I
was very sad to read this.

And Darlene, whom I just met last
month when we shared a hospital room.
I was so sick, I just wanted to be
alone. But nope, they put Darlene in
with me. What a kind soul with a love
for life and she was not ready to give
up, even after everything she'd been
through. What an inspiration she was
to me. And she never complained. I'm
sure she will be missed. We had
planned to get together at her house
this summer, but God had other plans
for her. RIP, Darlene. You've earned
your place in heaven.

Condolences to all who have lost loved
ones this month. May they all rest in
God's perfect peace.

Gorgeous photo!
