Chris Hendra of Chris Hendra Photography was in attendance at the Calumet Figure Skating Show at the Colosseum last weekend. He snaps photos of the performers and makes them available for the skaters and parents on his webpage here: Movie Mage on Ice
I love how he captures the excitement of the show and especially the smiles on the faces of the skaters, showing how much they enjoy being out there performing for their family and friends. What beautiful keepsakes and memories Chris captured for them all.

I’ve been hearing and seeing many of the birds returning to the Keweenaw lately, so it won’t be much longer and the hummingbirds will be back. Here’s a fun, inexpensive water fountain you can make that the hummingbirds will enjoy, along with other birds, too. It comes to us from Robbie and Gary Gardening Easy.

follow. It's a lot of hard work.

Those kid's faces tell so many stories...and the
"Littles" are just SO adorable.

The Hummers will enjoy the water...they sure love
the rain..or if you water plants, etc...they flit
in and out of the water. They love it. They'll
be back soon. AND they will remember where the
feeders were last year, and if it's not out, and
you are out filling other bird feeders, they'll
come up to the back of your head and slap you
upside that head, with their wings, to remind
you...you better get that food out quick!

Good for them! I bet they
enjoyed themselves a lot.
I read an article awhile back
that it’s good to get your kids
involved with sports because
it steers them away from
smoking and alcohol. You
can’t do those bad things
to yourself and be good at
any physical activity. The two
just don’t mix.
And the video is quite the
project. If I had the physical
ability and the time, I would
give it a go.
