How can it be the end of November already? Time moves quickly, but today we pause to remember those who have left us too soon:

Urban “Tibby” Baril
John Dee
Debra Fountaine
Beverly Gibson

Albert “Pudgy” Perreault
Douglas Schroeder
George Thurner
Innocent victims of war in the current conflict,
Servicemen & women and
Frontline workers who have given their all
All of us here at Pasty Central wish to extend our deepest condolences to all who have lost someone near and dear to them. Weatherman, good friend and long time sponsor here on the Pasty Cam, John Dee, passed away suddenly a few weeks ago. This paragraph from his obituary, written by his wife, Nora and their daughter Gracie, pretty much says it all: “John was a giver, a humble man who could make you feel at ease with his smile and kindness. He was a man who wore many hats in his life...woodworker, snow lover, Keweenaw Ambassador, a snowmobile “legend”, Rev. Snowflake, but the title he loved best was husband and father.”
And the second to last name on the list, Douglas Schroeder, is Uncle Chuck’s father-in-law. He passed October 31st and Chuck had posted on the October memorial page, but he wasn’t on our list for October, so he’s included this month. May they all Rest in Peace.

I knew Lisa Haataja when I worked in Baraga. She
was deaf, but made of pure love. I don't care where
I was, while out in the community....I ALWAYS got
just a love filled hug from Lisa...every single
time I saw her. She was such a beautiful soul. "Fly
high Beautiful Soul".

John Dee, what a man!
I was sad to see his obit in the DMG a couple weeks ago. He will sorely be missed not only for his meteorology skills, but for his wit and great stories.

Going to miss John Dee's winter weather reports, as
he loved snow and winter. He was the best! Followed
his page since 1999. Enjoyed his reports as he was
very accurate and never reported in a disgruntled
manner of snow on the way. God Bless his family and
friends, may memories keep him close by in their
hearts.
