Gladys Collins snapped these shots of a flock of turkeys in her neighbor’s yard in West Ishpeming. She said it’s the first time they’ve had them in town there, where they live a few blocks from US41 and about 4 blocks from the woods. Those gobblers better be careful getting so close to the highway like that, not to mention strutting around in someone’s yard so close to Thanksgiving. I think turkey hunting season is over though, so maybe that’s why they feel safe doing their turkey trot around town like this. Fun to see critters in places you don’t normally see them hanging around.

It’s looking like this is a Steve Brimm kind of week for videos. Check it out, Steve captured a look at a thief in broad daylight, right outside his window. Oh, the nerve...

Interesting pix and those turkeys walking
around like that this close to Thanksgiving,
proves they’re not chicken.
And that squirrel’s a little rat.

Turkeys are just cool birds to watch. Spent hours
watching them....Usually there's a Tom to watch
over the crew...and he would NEVER allow a deer in
to eat before his girls got their fill.

Red Squirrels are just destructive lil critters.
But they gotta eat too.

GREAT pics Gladys...get some sunflower seed and get
in on the action! lol

Always fun to see critters in our yards. Fun
pictures. And the video was fun too.

Hi
The squirrel video reminds me of something that
happened to a friend of mine. He'd put a row of
decorative gourds on his porch rail. When he got
home, they were knocked over, with some on the
ground. On inspection, it wasn't the neighbor kids
but rodent or rodents unknown. Seems they found the
gourds both decorative and edible.

Always love Steve Brimm's work.

Sadly, a gremlin has returned that causes videos to fail. I recall that
happening year's ago but it seemed to have been fixed with an
adjustment. Could you please point me to an article that addresses
this? I'm on an iMac with 13.6.1. Many other videos are working fine.

Pasty Cam is the bees knees!

My sincere sympathy and condolences to John Dee's
family and loved ones. I owe his love for the U.P.
to make Bob and I discover the U.P. and fall in
love with it as well.

I agree Janie, John Dee was one of a kind, and we'll miss him tho we never met. May the Lord comfort his family now in the new home they just built.
