When Lake Superior gets all riled up during a storm, it takes a while for the waves to calm back down and stop roaring and raging to the shoreline. George C. Bailey captured some of that wave action at the end of the last big storm we had, with 50 plus mph winds for three days in a row. I mentioned to George that it must have been glorious to be watching all this wave action right there in person. He said it pays to know the best rocks to stand on safely to capture these images, adding that it never gets old. I don’t know about you folks, but it never gets old for me, seeing photos like this, I’m awed EVERY time. How lucky we are that George goes out there during the storms, captures the images and then so willingly shares them with us all.

Then to top it off, he records video, too. It’s a wonder he can keep the camera still enough to do so. In this one today, you can see how rough the water is way out there in Lake Supeior, too. Spectacular indeed!
