One more flight with E. Neil Harri to complete our flying adventures this week. We’re checking out Eagle Harbor from Neil’s Cessna 172. Take a look at the Eagle Harbor Marina Project photos. According to the Eagle Harbor Township page: they have focused on the current seawall and infrastructure and have built the new seawall to the east of the boat launch ramp. Work will begin again in the spring, adding transient slips and likely go through the entire 2023 boating season. The two most frequently asked questions are - “will they remove the tree in the middle of the road?” (NO!), and “will the boat launch remain open through construction?” (Yes, except for a very brief time when they place infrastructure underground to the eastern improvements). Interesting, as I didn’t know about this project, so it’s nice to see it from the air like this.

In case you’d like to see what it will look like when done, Neil shared these drawings of the project conception:

Nice shots again today. My favorite one is
the last one. I don't tire of pictures with
the Eagle Harbor lighthouse.

Looks like it's going to be quite the
project. Glad they're not removing the tree.

Impressive...how cool!

More great shots from Neil! The first one is an interesting angle you don't see often and gives a different point of view. The third one shows the rocks not far under the water, but they must be deep enough to accommodate the boat slips with the improvements.

Glad the tree will remain too!

Another nice set that makes me want to wax lyrical;

“I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high

I tore my mind on a jagged sky

I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in.”
