We’re flying high over Mt. Horace Greeley with E. Neil Harri today. The former Radar Base sits atop this Keweenaw mountain range. In Neil’s first photo, we get a look down the pole line ridge toward the Radar Base. I found his second photo quite interesting in that I didn’t realize how long the Phoenix Cliffs really are. Seems we mostly focus on the group of ridges on the left of the photo and don’t really notice the rest of them, since they aren’t as close to the highway. The remaining photos show the former Radar Base surrounded in white. Neil commented that this has been an unusual winter to photograph with the lack of snow in the trees and little sunshine, but that there is always something different like the frosted trees in these photos. I really liked a comment by one of Neil’s fans on these photos: “Thank you for showing us what we love, in a whole different way!” Check out more of Neil’s photography here: E. Neil Harri

Neil must just love being up there looking
down on everything. Such a different view of
everything.
Time for snow statues. Maybe if temps stay
above the 20 mark we will go. So much work
put into them.

Nice pix! At first I thought they were black and white until I saw the
blue skies.
The video was nice but I think I like the pix better.
