Frances Czapski shares a compilation of photos she’s been working on of the Tahquamenon Falls. She says:

“I am officially a little over halfway through my year-long challenge of shooting the Upper Tahquamenon Falls on the 3rd or 4th of every month. Check out the lineup so far! Which month is your favorite?”
Back on April 7, 2022 here on the Pasty Cam, we featured her season changes there from January to April. Today we add May, June and July. Frances asked which is your favorite and I’d have to say, May is the one that catches my eye the most. The tannin colors in the water rushing over the falls is spectacular, not to mention the sheer volume of water in the spring. What about you, do you have a favorite pick?

We join MLive and Kevin Dennis, the Tahquamenon Falls State Park Manager, for a look at the new Pedestrian Bridge that has been built at the Lower Tahquamenon Falls making it easier for everyone to access the island at the Lower Falls area. It’s especially good for those with a disability, not to mention it will make it easier for park staff when they have an emergency and getting around the area quickly.

I like May's too...it's rocking!

May is my favorite but there is no bad
picture of those falls.

A bridge to the island is a great idea. I have never
been out to that island, but not because of mobility
issues. Well, I can't row--too uncoordinated; but
mainly I was too cheap to rent a rowboat.

I vote for the February shot! Can't wait to see how the rest of the months stack up.

We have rowed to the island at least 3 times - probably more - spread over several decades. With the multiple waterfalls and lack of crowds we liked it better than the Upper Falls. Wonder how the bridge will change that. They don't discuss how far someone in a wheelchair could venture once they were on the island. It would take a lot of ramps to be able to negotiate the entire island.
