Lily Pond is located on M-203, about 6 miles from Hancock and is considered a Harbor of Refuge. Barbara Bouwkamp stopped there recently and snapped a few photos to share. A boat launch is located there and from what I hear, it’s a good place to catch fish, too. In the bottom photo, you can see the buoys on the docks there, waiting to be picked up by the U.S. Coast Guard Buoy Tenders and placed back in their usual places in Lake Superior for navigational assistance.

The bugs have been bad in the early morning and evenings here in the Keweenaw lately, but Nancy Haun reports that there were no bugs recently at the Bishop Baraga Shrine on Keweenaw Bay. Sure looks like a peaceful place to visit. Stop by, enjoy the view and the serenity of the shrine.

I like the lily pond. Kind of a cool place
to take pictures.

Bishop Baraga is usually a must stop.

Nice pictures.

Beautiful spots! Been a while since we were there and wish we could remedy that soon! Seems like this is kind of late for the buoys not to be in place yet, but what do i know?

Way cool...since the last time I was at Lily
Pond...they have truly upgraded that place! Wow!

The Bishop is a must see, if you are able to. It's
simply stunning....and Nancy's upgrades have made
that place just phenomenal. The last time I went,
my friend had to drag my walker to help me get back
to the car. I'm afraid that won't be a stop
anymore...but if you get the chance, don't miss it.
It's a MUST see!
