Recently Cathy McKenzie went to the top of Mont Ripley on the Chair Lift to take in the colors. She was playing tour guide again, for friends and family, which Cathy said, brings her great joy as she loves every minute of it.

The Chair Lift ride itself would be great, just to see the surrounding area from that perspective, but add in the fall colors and spectacular comes to mind. Cathy’s photos support that observation 100%. Unfortunately, this past weekend was the last weekend for the Chair Lift rides, so it’s a good thing Cathy snapped these for us to enjoy.

For today’s video, we have a Dennis Family Compilation of their drone adventures, flying and camera work by Walter Dennis. They’ve assembled some of their best drone work of 2021 and edited it into a single compilation. Clips include the abandoned Calumet Air Force Station, The Portage Lift Bridge, Quincy Mine, and more!

Excellent pix, especially "The Bridge View" which I
find enchanting! And another well-done video!

Great pix. Looks like the color was better
when you went. Also when we went out was
somewhat foggy so you couldn't see the lake
as well. We drove in fog up there so we
almost didn't go up. But the ride up and
down (little steep going down) alone was
worth it. So much you get to see from the
ground that you'd never see otherwise.
Thanks for sharing your pix with us.
