As summer begins to turn to fall here in the Keweenaw, our mornings are often covered in fog to begin the day. Recently, Debbie Jarve over at Debbie Jarve Photography captured some great shots of the fog on the canal and almost obliterating the Portage Lake Lift Bridge, too.

Good thing about the morning fog we’ve experienced lately, is that once the sun comes out, it begins to burn off. You can see that beginning to happen in Debbie’s third photo looking out toward St. Ignatius Church in Houghton. Just about clear near the church, but still a bit hazy further along the canal.

Speaking of Houghton, Del Rajala shares a slo-mo video from around and through Houghton. Obviously this was made before the bridge repairs began. Nice to see traffic moving along at a decent pace in the video, even with the slow motion.
