Nancy Haun has shared innumerable train photos, not to mention videos, too, but I think the first two shots here today are my favorite of all time. Thatís the CN (Canadian National) tracks that run along Goose Lake in the LíAnse area. Such a great scenic spot, I bet the train engineers enjoy running these tracks for a change from trees and woods. I donít know much about these tracks, but that first shot looks almost like they hauled in the rock and laid the tracks right through the lake there.

The bottom two photos, Nancy said are actually at Partridge Junction, which is located between Goose Lake and Eagle Mills. Iím guessing the ďEnd of TrackĒ sign is some kind of inside railroad joke there in those parts.

Todayís video from Andrew Erickson is fun seeing a CN train clickety-clack along the Goose Lake

Love the pictures, thanks Nancy! Funny, when i saw 'Goose Lake' i thought they were taken in my stomping grounds in Marquette County down toward Palmer. There's a Goose Lake with a railroad crossing there too. A lot of similarities in the 2 areas.

The "end of track sign" is no joke. The track really ends right there. See the two rails ending below the sign. There usually is some kind of stop block or other obstruction to keep the railroad cars from going off the end of the track but not in this case.

Where's the "Turn Right Immediately" sign???
