For Brita Haapala, going to the beach on a beautiful fall day has always included a few kids in tow, until this year, when her “baby” went off to Kindergarten. So away she went recently, with her coffee and her camera, sure she would have South Bete Grise to herself, but she ended up seeing six other people on the beach there. She said it still worked out well, with a little friendly conversation in passing, they each found their own spot to hang out.
