Laurie Bashaw and her hubby, Edward Korpi, recently spent some time camping on the shores of Lake Superior in the Grand Marais area. Laurie said the Woodland Park Campground is one of their favorite places, so much so, that they didn’t want to go home. Even with a rainy day for the photos Laurie took, it looks like a great place to relax and spend some time on the shores of Gitche Gumee, with driftwood and rocks to pick through and explore.

The bottom photo was snapped by Edward and shows what the beach there looked like on one of the sunny days they enjoyed at Grand Marais. I don’t know about the rest of you, by I can picture myself there, listening to the waves roll in and perhaps reading a good book. Great way to unwind and relax, for sure.

Since Laurie’s photos were stormy looking, I figured this video from Bob Gilreath would be a good one to share today. He titled it “I think it might rain! Dark as Midnight!”

Great pictures! I especially love the fog coming
off of the lake. So cool.
