When Liz Siivola and her husband were out for a bike ride around Calumet recently, they spotted these Trumpeter Swans and their Cygnets at the Swedetown Ponds. She said it was quite enjoyable to stop and watch them swimming around the ponds and they even got to see them cross the road, too. They sure are beautiful birds and their young are so fluffy looking. Let’s hope they survive and grow into beautiful swans, too.

Moose Henderson is behind the camera filming swans in a farm field puddle in the U.P., but he doesn’t disclose exactly where. He claims that Trumpeter Swans are the heaviest native birds of North America, but despite that, they are very graceful.

Mosquitoes are like small children-the moment they stop making noise, you know they're getting into something.
