We’re used to seeing beautiful photographs of Lake Superior from George C. Bailey, but today he takes us for a look in the deep, dark forest he calls his backyard. These wily coyotes were recent visitors and George was ready with his camera to document their stopover in his neighborhood. Never fear, though, George was in no danger, as he wasn’t as close to them as it looks. His powerful lens takes him right there within stare-down distance with no fear.

I’m betting with visitors like this, George has heard them yipping and howling off in the woods at times. If you’ve never heard them, then you’re in for an eerie experience with today’s video from a game camera with sound. Living out in the country, it’s a sound you often hear, especially in the warmer months when your windows are open at night.

Wishing you all a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Stay healthy and safe!

Personally, because of small pets... I can't stand them. They're everywhere and I'll introduce them to Mr. Browning & his 12 gauge if they come around here!

That sounded like my house on a Saturday night.

I agree UC! Our neighbors have a new puppy (German Shepherd type) and they have been putting him out on a lead by their front door. There's a small woods behind their place, with a stream, and we know there are coyotes back there. I try to keep an eye on the pup anytime i'm outside but they really shouldn't leave him out there.

A few weeks back walking my Miniature Australian Shepherd in our field, he took off for our timber, seconds later here comes a very terrified coyote with our Aussie on that coyote's heels. That dog chased that coyote into the neighbor's field. I was impressed.
