If you’re not a regular follower of JohnDee.com, you may not know that the Dee family sold their home in Mohawk and have moved out to Jacobsville, to the property that belonged to Nora Dee’s grandparents a number of years back. It’s been a “homecoming” of sorts for Nora and a dream come true for their family. Today’s photos are just two of the beautiful scenes that they get to enjoy, living out in Jacobsville. Morning is one of the prettiest times of the day, when the sun is coming up and putting a shine on everything, including the snow covering the trees. Of course seeing Lake Superior on a daily basis is one of the best perks of living so close to the Big Lake.

Snow, snow and more snow has been what’s happening around the Copper Country, but have no fear, the local snow removal crews have it down to a science. Barbara Bouwkamp made a short video recently of the Village of Laurium crew, cutting back the snowbanks on the village streets, making them wider for traveling and of course for more snow to come.

Beautiful pic's & sunshine no less!! Cool video... maybe I found my next job, lol of course that would require the big move!! Maybe someday....

9 appointments/tests at U of M tomorrow, (7 AM to 7 PM), with the last one being with the surgeon in prep for my upcoming Heart Surgery. We'll see if he moves the date or if I'm still on for the 22nd. A bit freaked out and just want to get this over with. Everyone tells me, " how much better I'm going to feel", I'm hoping so!

I've been away from Pasty.com for a while, so I apologize if I'm asking something already answered, but what happened to the "Cutting Back Snowbanks" video? All I see is a blank box. I'm using Firefox, the latest version.

It was probably Flash. At the first of the year some browsers turned off support for flash. Or you may have to update Flash. You can Google Firefox Flash and it will find some possible solutions for you. Good Luck!
