When Beth Jukuri gets to see critters on her rural mail route from Chassell to Tapiola, she says it makes for a fun day. This past week, she was treated to a rafter (flock) of wild turkeys. Looks like between 10 and 13 of them roaming free on her route. She said she usually sees the turkey flocks in the same places and figures that the folks nearby are feeding them. They are fun to watch, especially when they take off running. Itís amazing how fast these birds can run.

We have turkeys on todayís video, too. These birds arenít trotting, though, but flying up into the trees to roost for the night. It doesnít seem like a bird this large, should be able to fly and roost in a tree like that, but they do. Fun to see them in action like this.

P.S. Donít forget that your 2020 Pasty Cam Calendar is now available. Why not order one with some U.P. Style Pasties, to enjoy the day after Thanksgiving, when youíre craving something other than turkey? 2020 Pasty Cam Calendar and Pasties

I just love all the wild turkeys around our
house. Darn dog scares them away but they
always come back. Love the pictures.

We've had a rash of aggressive turkey gangsta's in lower MI doing fly-by's on local residents.

Yes, we have as many as in the pic's & video right here in Commerce Twp. on the side of the road and they do not move for anyone.... quite odd!

Hope she stopped to ask them why they crossed the
road. We've been dying to know. :)
