When Judy Byykkonen needs someplace to bring her dogs for a walk, she has a few different trails to choose from in the Calumet area. One of them is the Calumet Lions Park, where Calumet Lake is located. The trails in the park circle the lake for terrific scenic views and some wildlife spotting, too. Judy noted on her walk last week, that there are already signs of fall with some leaves changing...it’s a bit early for that. But another sign that it isn’t quite fall yet, is that Judy also spotted some geese at the lake, so they haven’t flown south quite yet. Whew!

Seeing the geese in Judy's photo, reminded me of a video Jean Dessellier recently published, of the chatty, friendly ducks they have at their place. She said they always quack up a storm when her hubby comes home and they even recognize his truck. Of course they keep tabs on him, since he does feed them. Get ready to quack-up!
