What to do on your day off in the spring, when the sun is shining and it’s sweatshirt weather? Go cruising to check out what the Lake Superior shoreline is doing, that’s what Mariah Fontaine did one day last week. She stopped at Brunette Park, just past Gay and enjoyed seeing the beach sand with barely any ice in sight. Her second photo was further down the Gay/Lac La Belle road, with a beautiful view looking toward Bete Grise I think. You can see a little white still hanging on along the shoreline there, but all that open water looks wonderful

Since we’re near the water, I figured we might as well go underwater, too. Today’s video excursion comes from Chris Roxburgh, while he was doing some quartz and agate hunting at Esrey Park, between Eagle Harbor and Copper Harbor.

I was in a fog zone, but I've recovered nicely. The video looks like fun...and no sharks to worry about.

Great video.

I'm surprised by the amount of dusting of sand or silt over everything and then all of a sudden there is a bright clean rock that appears.

I wonder if Bob Barron has any similar videos. He's shown me some great agates found offshore at underwater locations I'm pledged to not disclose. He generally has to take a hammer to them to loosen them up from the bottom.

My atrial flutter heart catherization has been rescheduled for May 29th.
