Today’s photos give us a look at the beauty of nature all around us here UP North. We start off with a photo taken by Roger Kangas in 2007. What a pretty trail to take on snowshoes or skiis, with all the snow hanging onto the branches, guiding your way.

In 2014, Fred Koski snapped the nighttime glowing with star trails all across the sky. The snow helps to brighten the ground, even in the dark of night.

Judy Byykkonen gives us a current look at what nature has been doing here in the Copper Country. She was skiing at the Swedetown trails over the weekend, when we had foggy, damp conditions and this Hoar Frost sticking to the trees like thorns was what she found. Pretty amazing the artistry that nature provides for our enjoyment.

We go back to Fred Koski for our video today. He took over 800 photos and put them together in a timelapse of Winter 2019. What a great way to watch the winter fly by. Check out Fred’s Facebook page for more of his work: Fred Koski Photography.

Jbuck, foot ulcer is healing well, thanks for the kind words.

D.A. I'm with you, 6 months in the yoop, 6 months in ...... Vegas, nah... she'd never go for that! lol

Also, Alex, I'd still like to get you in the Silverado for a road trip, we'd have a blast!!

That we would, UC. Unfortunately, I have to limit my road trips to 10-15 miles tops (M.S. has weakened the old bladder muscles). Of course, you could always put waterproof plastic seat covers in your truck. :-)

A local paper, a weekly, several national newspapers checked daily online: Conclusion... Only a fool is astonished by the foolishness of humankind.
