The archives were filled up with plenty of snow, heavy ice cover on Superior’s shore and some clouds looking ready to dump more snow. Starting out in 2012, with Lindsay Fortin, we walk down a snowy trail, that just the day before was bare and you’d have been walking without a jacket in 57° temps. Weather around here changes by the minute.

Back in 2014, Lisa Normand was on the shores of Lake Superior at Tamarack Waterworks in Calumet. That sure looks to be a thick coating of ice on those trees, but even so, the chilly covering sure makes a beautiful scene!

Brenda Leigh snapped a photo of some ominous looking clouds near Whitefish Bay in 2015. It doesn’t look like there was much snow on the ground yet that year, but I’m betting those clouds were getting ready to dump some snow by the looks of them.

To go along with the second photo, we have a video that was made by Danette Terzano that same year, only in the Ironwood area. There was no lack of snow UP North in November 2014, that’s for sure.

2012 is a beautiful pic! It needs a 4x4 pick up blazing a trail gone deer huntin!!... or in our case.... just enjoying the beautiful Kewweenaw, eating Combos and Vollwerth's Summer Sausage Sticks and some Lake Superior Gin (aka. Bottled H2O)!! It doesn't get any better than that!!... until the sauna!! :=))

I know it doesn't sound like much to Yoopers but here in Northwest Illinois we were right in the bullseye of winter storm Bruce. We got 14 inches of wet snow on top of an ice storm last night. I finally got one vehicle dug out, one more to go. BTW, since when did we start naming simple winter storms? And oh yea, I hate snow, LOL.

But I DO appreciate all of Mary's effort and energy.
