It’s a critter kind of day again here on the Pasty Cam, with a few of the animals that inhabit the Upper Peninsula. We start out back in 2005, with a photo snapped by Tim Minich. He spotted these swans swimming around with the backdrop of the late fall leaves still hanging onto the branches. Beautiful, indeed!

Moving ahead to 2008, W.R. Maki took a shot of Smoke, sitting on the bluff over Mass City. If you could see down below, you’d be getting a good look at the little town below and the surrounding area, too. It looks like most of the leaves had fallen by this time that year.

Most folks consider themselves lucky if they get to see one moose while traveling around here UP North. So, Melody Provost Holmes was pretty excited when she spotted this moose family near Amasa. Mom and the twins didn’t seem phased at all with Melody snapping away, either.

Today’s video feature was published by Haight’s Wanderings, after encountering a Moose on US141 near Crystal Falls. Neat that they were able to watch it crossing the road, too.

2008 is a great pic!! Cool video, I have yet to see a moose in my travels.

Nice...Northern Exposure comes to mind.

All of my U.P. Moose sightings (other than Isle Royale) have also been along U.S. 141. For me, closer to Covington than Crystal Falls, always in the swampy areas just to the east of the roadway.
