It’s a four-legged kind of day here on the Pasty Cam. Starting off back in 2001, with a photo snapped by Thomas Simpson over on Drummond Island. While there golfing with his Dad, they had this visitor show up and walk across the box as his Dad was getting ready to tee off. The deer doesn’t look interested in their golf game, but rather the “rough” around the course.

Our next four-legged critter is either trespassing or maybe a guard cat, peeking around the building looking for trespassers to chase away. Joyce Tormala took this photo back in 2005 and titled it, Go ahead...make my day! Fitting I think, since the look on kitty’s face is pretty menacing.

In 2014, Brenda Leigh captured quite the shot of a fox kit that was hiding out under a shed at her neighbor's. She got right in there to get some photos and the little guy must have known she meant him no harm, because she said he walked right up to her as she was snapping pictures.

Last but not least in the four-legged category is “Finley”. Melanie Hakala Rossi took this cute little pup’s photo while she was out hiking with Finley’s “person”. Rumor has it that Finley is quite the poser. His owner just asks him to jump up on something like this fallen tree and he sits there patiently waiting for a treat after the shutter is clicked. What a smart little dog!

Our 5th photo has nothing to do with critters, but everything to do with something fun to do this coming Sunday. It’s the Keweenaw County Historical Society Open House, from 9:00 to 6:00 at the Eagle Harbor Life Saving Museum. Take a drive UP North and enjoy the historical displays and tour the USCG 47 ft. Motor Life Boat.

Back to the critters again. Our video clip is from 2010, when the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter in Negaunee, built a cage free kitty room for the cats that come in to their shelter. Check it out!
