We have a variety of archive scenes today, each with their own appeal. Starting in one of our early Pasty Cam years, 2000, we have a photo of a group of snowmobiliers getting their picture taken on the trail near Lake of the Clouds. That’s Dan Urbanski snapping a picture of visitors with their own camera.

Our next archive photo was snapped in 2006, by Steve Haagen after having slid off the edge of what looks like a logging road somewhere UP North. Looks like there was help nearby and the folks in the car and outside of it don’t look too upset about being stuck for the moment.

The third photo was an excursion in 2011, that Brenda Leigh and a friend took to explore the Twin Falls (Michigan Nature Association Memorial Falls) and Tannery Falls (sometimes referred to as Rudy M. Olson Memorial) in the Munising area. The photo was snapped on the path by the cliffs, on the way to the falls.

Today’s video is a Michigan Waterfalls video taken at the Tannery Falls back in 2011. Amazing how the falls freeze all around, yet there is still running water down the middle.

I love the video of the falls - sure sounds
different in the wintertime!

Uncle Chuck,

You gave me an excellent laugh with your "Thank God for the wench" comment.

DA- That really was a typo... lol.... let's make that "WINCH", GEEZE if my better half saw that, she'd clobber me!! Long day with the boss today, we're in Marquette, headed to BCMH, in L'Anse tomorrow then hustling back to Sawyer Int. to drop him off. Then working my way back towards Detroit by Friday :(

UC...just curious, was the wench a member of your posse?

By D. A. (Midwested) on Thursday, February 8, 2018 - 12:08 am:

UC, I knew it was a typo but I couldn't resist. Brought back a memory from work. In one of our test areas a small crane had been installed years before I started. The installer has stenciled a hand painted label on the electric controller box on the wall that stated: "TEST WENCH". I chuckled every time I passed it.

Safe travels. ~many moons ago, I used to live in Livonia.
