Today's archive theme is buildings, work buildings, homes and businesses, too. We start back in 1999, with a visit to the Edisen Fishery over on Isle Royale. Andy Ewert & Jonathan Hopper spent much of the summer that year on the Island and shared a wealth of photos with the Pasty Cam from the beautiful National State Park in the middle of Lake Superior.

Last year, in 2016, Joe Kirkish snapped a shot looking at Ruby Street in Houghton, with the houses lined up along the way. The clouds above add much to this beautiful U.P. small town scene.

Just a week ago, Chad Johnson was in Marquette, down by the Harbor and captured a scene with the Lake, colorful boats in the marina and the buildings of the city rising up over it all. It sure is a beautiful harbor scene.

Since we're in Marquette, we may as well take an aerial excursion around the town, the harbor, the beaches... enjoy the birdseye view with U.P. Graphics.

Nice pictures and I loved the video. I've always
wanted to get to the Marquette lighthouse and have
never done it. I didn't realize the beach around
that area was so nice. I'm going to have to try
to make it there.

Nice set of pix and a great, Dramamine-invoking video.

Been to the Edison Fishery on Isle Royale many times. It was particularly interesting when Les and Donna Mattson were the park's interps there. Les was a commercial fisherman and they were a wonderful and knowledgeable couple.

If you make it to the Edisen Fishery, I suggest an additional short walk to both the Rock Harbor Lighthouse and to the Bangsund Cabin. The Bangsund Cabin is the summer residence of Rolf and Candy Peterson. Rolf is one of the leading scientists that has been working on the Isle Royale Moose/Wolf study. If either or both are home they will be more than happy to give you a tour and invite you into their home. It is here they display all the bones collected over the many years.
