Today's look back through the past 19 years starts with our webmaster, Charlie's nephew Cody, atop Brockway Mountain back in 2000. Important to note in this photo, is that Cody is wearing his favorite shirt declaring his love of Pasties! Also of note is that you can see Lake Fanny Hooe in the distance and Lake Superior beyond that.

In the second photo, Jeremy TePaske snapped a shot of this little guy holding a piece of sandstone that's almost as big as he is. That's a serious rockhound there, collecting the big stuff.

Then back in 2015, we were remembering EddyFitz (Ed Chaput) as a young man aboard the Edmund Fitzgerald at the Soo Locks. EddyFitz always contributed interesting stories from sailing on the Great Lakes. Also featured that same day, was a photo of Ed's brother Art Chaput (who recently passed away), working on the Bishop Baraga statue. Ed's son, Leon commented that day that his Dad was so proud of his brother Art's handiwork and that all the Chaput's had much smaller pieces of Art's work on their mantles at home.

Our video today, takes us rockhounding, with a dive in Lake Superior looking for agates. Grab a wet suit and hold your breath!

Quite a nice selection of topics and pictures today!

Hope all your celebrations were happy ones and no one burned down any garages!

Nice video, but no wonder the lake level is dropping.
It was nice seeing Eddie Fitz and Capt. when he was a kid. :-)

Hi again!

In case you aren't aware, the President of the
Bishop Baraga Foundation has a post on her
Facebook page about selling photos of the Bishop
Baraga Shrine and hopes to raise funds to light
up the statue as it once was.
