This is the Moving Wall, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., on display in South Range this weekend (through Monday).

There a few friends of mine listed on this wall... One that I found was RAYMOND LAWRENCE WHELPLEY, an old High School buddy who made the ultimate sacrifice at the age of 21. I'll always remember Ray's beautiful singing, as he came from a musical family.

Perhaps you have a friend listed on this monument. One resource you can use to find out: The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall Page

Have a good September.

I was so moved to have known one soldier from South Range, a childhood friend, Steve Linna from South Range. I have lost touch with his family. Would love to hear from them again some time. So glad that the memorial was able to travel to South Range. Hi to Jeff and Robin from Bill and John Jacobs. John and Mae Sivula's grandsons from South Range. Just celebrated Dad's 80th BD in Mt. Clemens last Saturday, 11 NOV 00.
