When E. Neil Harri says he’s going to the fair, you just know it’s going to be by air. At least that was the case one of the days that the Houghton County Fair was taking place last week. Neil was flying high over the fairgrounds in Hancock, giving us all a birds-eye view of what the festivities look like from high above.

We’ve all seen the shots from the ground over the years, but thanks to Neil, we get a unique perspective of what is happening on the ground. It sure was a beautiful week for the fair to take place here UP North. If you were able to be there in person, we hope you enjoyed the fun. Our Allegan County Fair runs Sept 6-14. The Skerbeck Bros. bring two of their complete shows / carnival rides and games for the Midway. Fairs are a wonderful tradition and I like the food also.

I wondered if that was him! I got a pict of the plane as it circled around the grounds. I even see my car by the horse barn in a couple photos. :)

I really wanted to go for a ride in the plane! :D

The state fair was always fun in Nashville for us 'kids' ~ except the ferris wheel, especially when you're on top when it stops to take on more 'passengers'! Only rode it once.

I think I've only gone to that fair twice. Loved it both times, though. Went to a lot of ball games at those ball fields, though.

I miss Michelle's 4-H/FFA County Fair years. Showing her horses, ponies, and Guernseys. Good times!

Nice pix! Is that the Spider carnival ride I see down there? Had a bad experience on that ride one time. Up and down rides I can handle, but circle rides, forget it.
Neil, you should start charging for plane rides.
