As the final hours of 2001 tick away, there are dozens of individuals we need to thank for making the Pasty Cam so colorful and interesting through another year. Paul Taylor has sent a number of interesting shots (thanks Paul), and today's scan is a clipping about Dan Urbanski, whose pictures are included in our 2002 Pasty Cam calendar, as well as the Cam archives (thanks Dan). The article originally appeared in the Daily Mining Gazette (thanks John Elchert and staff), who also deserve another word of thanks for providing plenty of newspapers for our pasty packers (thanks Lori, Jackie, Karen, Opal, Mike, John, and Jon) to cushion and insulate thousands of pasties for delivery throughout America... (and providing the added bonus of catching up on news from home :o)

Thanks to all of the contributors to this daily feature during 2001, and most of all thank YOU for stopping by Pasty Central. We look forward to getting together with you every day in the coming year.

And Thank YOU, Charlie, for this "labor of love" that brings so much pleasure to the thousands of us who get our UP "fix" from the Pasty Cam every day! Keep up the great work!

Sharon - Thank you for the live view from your deck overlooking Copper Harbor (that's the end of Brockway in the distance). Hopefully we can arrange to put it on our Bridge Cam page in the coming year.

Thanks to all of you for such a great site for us UP Lovers. Have a place in Presque Isle, Wi and always have to take a couple of trips to Copper Harbor during the summer to get our fix. This site helps keep it alive for us all year long. Once again thanks.

Sharon, What is the web address of your cam? I am always looking for webcams in Mich. but espcially in the U.P. Thanks

By Sharon on Sunday, December 30, 2001 - 07:01 pm:

Dave, it's

And while we're wrapping up the year, I need to thank Charlie and Jonathan for their invaluable help while I was setting up the camera, and for doing yeoman work keeping it running through storm and power failure while I am 600 miles away. I love the webcams, too, and without the Hoppers, there would be only a black screen - and I have to get MY Copper Harbor fix just as much as everybody else does! So I owe them big time.

A Happy and peaceful New Year to everyone!

In case someone wants to know when this photo was taken, it was in a special 3 section pictorial in the Daily Mining Gazette titled "Peninsula People On The Move" dated March 28, 1985. I want to thank Pasty Cam and everyone that contributes to it for all the years of bringing the U.P. to my house when I can't be there. This is one of the first sites I go to when I turn on my computer. THANKS EVERYONE
