That's the Super 8 in the middle of the picture, and some of the MTU campus buildings in the distance.

What a peaceful scene.

P.S. We received word today that the 2002 Pasty Cam Calendars are on their way! Watch for the link tomorrow for ordering yours.

Glad to see that Jonathan is back to taking pictures again. I was worried about him.

Is that the boat used by the Park Service to get supplies and personnel to Isle Royale?

Looks like the RANGER 3 up front and one of the CG bouy tenders further back. It really is a peaceful scene with the Portage Canal so quiet.
Charlie, does anyone have any pix of the old wooden Rangers 1 and 2 in a shoebox? That would be nice. Pytavay, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all! We sure do have a lot to be thankful for UP here.

Youbetcha, Bill. It's the RANGER 3 that runs to and from Isle Royale. Pretty little ship, ain't she?

What a great picture. So peaceful... reminds me of staying at aunt Lou's in Ripley... or maybe fishing off the Tech coal dock as a kid in the late 60's. Thanks for the pictures. Everyone of them is a treasure.

lovely, lovely picture, thanks Jon. Also congratulations on your marriage. I stay at the Super 8 2 or 3 times a year, but surely wish I lived there. Retiring soon, so maybe.....
