Thanksgiving Day-What'sUP November 28 - 04:38 pm

Brenda Leigh has found quite the colorful turkey to dress up her home for the Thanksgiving season. This one is easy to care for and will make you smile, but of course won't fill your tummy today when it is time to eat. It looks like it is made out of copper, what a perfect North Country decoration!

That's not the only bird visiting at Brenda's Brimley home, though. She sets out a smorgasbord for all the little feathered friends to come and partake of in her yard. I love the Chickadee shot she was able to snap. This is a great time of year to be feeding the birds, giving them a helping hand to make it through the winters here UP North. The bonus in doing so is getting to watch them flit back and forth for hours on end. If you're looking for a stress relieving activity, this is one to try. It's a win-win situation for you and the birds.

All of us at Pasty Central, wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving. A great way to show thanks IS by giving, and again this year we highlight Sheriff Ron Lahti’s Toys for Kids project here in the Keweenaw. Thanks to all who support this effort.

Happy Thanksgiving!! Nice photos.

We have a "Share Your Christmas" out here. It's a
great program to help adults and children who
don't have money for Christmas. Our bowling
league is even participating in it this year. We
usually all bring a $10 gift and bowl strikes for
it. This year we all decided we don't need
another $10 gift hanging around so each team took
two stockings and are going to make someone's
Christmas as nice as we can. What a great cause!
