After the snow storm, this is what Judy Byykkonen woke up to in her yard. She was surprised to see the snow plastered onto the trees, with her smiley face decorations still peeking through, making an interesting snowy face. I don't know about you, but I can't help but smile back at the grinning tree!

Judy's bottom photo is the view that smiling face has of Judy's driveway and front yard, she titled it, "Dashing through the snow", which I think is quite appropriate with the time of year coming up and the amount of snow we've already received so far here UP North... which is 58 inches so far this season, as of 8:30am this morning, according to the Keweenaw County Road Commission

Very artsy, but how could Judy tell the tree was a tootsie?

Take cover if those trees start throwing apples!

Looking at Ms. Wood gives me an eerie feeling. It's amazing that she can smile while looking at that view. She's a hardy soul.

Duane, my take on what Ms Wood is thinking: "The bugs and other pests are all dead and frozen, I don't have to produce any leaves or nuts for months and months...I can kick back & relax in a long winter's nap."

And, of course, she doesn't have to drive anywhere.
