Pam Heide was out along the shores of Lake Superior for a stroll and happened upon some interesting Beach Art. All of the specimens here today include something from nature to complete the artwork, several with a human touch to finish them up.

My favorites are the first, the fourth and the fifth ones, but honorable mention goes to the creativity in the bonfire art, just waiting for evening to arrive so the flames can begin.
The natural erosion of the beach sand in shelves like the first photo, always amazes me…it really is nature at work, creating something unique for us to enjoy.

It's always fun to find Lake Superior rocks balanced high atop each other, like the fourth photo. I'd love to be able to sit nearby when the Big Lake is all stirred up and waves are crashing in, to see how long the rock tower can survive the power of Lady Superior.

But of course, nothing can beat the artwork that colors the horizon, when you're relaxing on the shores of the Big Lake at the end of the day. Thanks for taking us along on your stroll, Pam!

stayed at my grandpas brothers place way out in cedar bay, before all the other homes were built. it was right on lake superior. fell asleep on the couch watching and listening to a thunderstorm, the lightening was something else to see over the lake. woke up the next morning to a heck of a drop-off on the beach, almost to the front door. that is what that first picture reminded me of.
