Judy Byykkonen took advantage of the sunshine we had earlier last week and brought her pups for a walk in the woods. They sure look like they're enjoying the thrill of being outside and have their sights set on something down below. The next two photos are what had their interest piqued…the Traprock River, free of ice, for the most part and flowing along. I'm sure they had thoughts of running and jumping in!

You can tell by the look of the snow that we've had some melting around her lately. That's what the warmer temps and sunshine does…it gets everything moving again, the rivers and the people too.

BUT…then winter comes back again, like it did this past weekend and gave us a fresh blanket of snow again. You can see that in Judy's last two photos. It was the sticky kind of snow that hangs on the trees and covers the driveway once again. I almost forgot, it came along with enough wind to make the already low temperature even lower. So, in case you're wondering, NO, spring hasn't come to stay here UP North yet.

Even though we don't have what you have UP there, Mary, Spring hasn't arrived...to stay... down my way either.
Those are neat shots, Judy ~ especially love your doggies.;)

Mary, I've been wondering if the Frank Zims farm is still in business. I used to buy sweet corn from Frank when I was produce manager at the Super Quality Food Market in Hancock in the 1950's.

As I recall, Frank Zims farm was located in the Traprock River valley.

We gave all the Scottish Terriers we have owned that same haircut Judy's has. But not to Brimley since he became diabetic. Diabetes causes hair deterioration or thinning of the hair. But, when they did get that short hair cut it made them wild and fruity! They loved that hair cut!

Love these pictures, Judy. I especially love the
3rd and 4th ones.

Janie--Scotties are such unique dogs, aren't they?
Minnie is different than any other dog we have ever
had.
