While visiting here in the Keweenaw, Marilyn Bachorik made a stop at her brother's place to check out his wife Joanne's green thumb. From the looks of the photos Marilyn snapped there, her sister-in-law seems to know what she's doing when it comes to cultivating and growing beautiful flowers. Quite a good selection of them, too.

Of course Marilyn couldn't resist a shot of one of their Old English Sheep Dogs, as it came around the corner on a run. What lucky dogs, that they get to travel around the U.P. with Marilyn and Dennis like this. I think they get to more places UP here than I do! ;-)

And we look forward to being back in the Keweenaw this evening. Edie's stay at McLaren in Petoskey was extended a few days because of some complications with drug allergies, but she's as good as new this morning and ready for the pleasant ride across the Bridge and across the U.P... Looks a bit on the cool side today, which makes the travel more comfortable. Thanks for all of the good wishes and prayers, and thanks to the folks at McLaren and Portage back home in Hancock, where we will be following up during Edie's continuing recovery.

I love Moss Roses, pic #2, they make me think of my Grandma. Edie & Charlie glad to hear of homeward bound! The Blessings and well wishes still continue from me!

Pretty flowers!
God speed, Edie and Charlie!!

Joanne's quite the gardner. Most of their land is wild flowers
and grasses, but near the house she has beautiful flowers,
herbs, and she gets a lot of vegetables considering the short
growing season. She says Bill (my brother) and a garden is
all she needs to be happy.

Lots of pretty flowers.

Nice blue color and there is that Panda Bear again. Please don't eat the daisies.

Charlie,

I pray for Edie and your family, for a continued,
full and speedy recovery.

As always, beautiful pictures here! Thanks for posting. I just noticed - a day late here, too. hmmmm

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Sunday, July 28, 2013 - 07:24 pm:

Jose, it's probably because Charlie and Edie are getting settled in UP there again ~ after their time spent in Petoskey.
