Barb Bouwkamp was out for an evening walk in Laurium recently, when she spotted a row of little boy trucks on a flatbed trailer with "big man" heavy duty equipment. Before you know it, the owners of the small fleet of trucks came around and when they saw Barb with her camera, one of the youngsters asked if they were going to be on the Pasty Cam. Seems one of them appeared in some street hockey photos Barb had taken a few years back and he remembered his moment of fame and was hoping for some more coverage.

Sure looks like they had fun posing with the big and little equipment. Then a short time later, after Barb thought she was done taking photos of them, she noticed they were moving a pile of stamp sand that was on the street, using their shirts as containers to hold the sand... bet their Mom's loved that! Boys, will be boys!

This picture sure does bring me back about 30 years, watching my boys playing with truck and cars in the sand. Those days fly by, that's for sure. If you have young children, enjoy every day with them.

Dirt and sand simply means "fun" when your young.
Nice pix!

...impressive collection of toy trucks and equipment, too.

growing up with 3 brothers, I had more fun with my brothers trucks. My one brother had a remote control tank that use to run over stuff...loved it. That was a time when tonka trucks were metal and lasted a long time.

Living on a farm, having a tractor, ATV's, 4 wheel drive truck, a dirt bike, who said there has to be an age limit to get down and dirty? :)

Good Morning. As the old saying goes: "The difference between men and boys is the size of their toys!". :-) Cute little guys.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 - 09:28 am:

Heck, I had my own trucks, cars, planes to play with, didn't have a brother.
That 'real' heavy equipment (Bobcat & stumpgrinder) looks very familiar since there were two of them in my yard for several days last week, while the USDA cut down 2 of my beautiful maple trees because of Asian-Longhorned-Beetle infestation. :(

Someone said the other day they was watching three young eagles that have just started leaving their nest and if they are the same ones I am watching they are from Decorah Iowa hope that answers your question as where they are. I check in on them several times a day.

OH- I just love the photos today. My little boys loved trucks also-especially my youngest!
